I have got to say, this is a fine peice of work. I loved the concept, and i loved the music. It fit very well with the flash. Even though the final drawing i felt could have been a bit beter, i loved how you expressed the different styles by having something happen (especially the shading part. I thought that was down right clever!)

Sorry, but i wasnt impressed in the slightest at the fights. Its not that it was a bad flash, but the fighting was too repetitive. There were too many fights going on at once to even focus one of them at a time. I dont mind all out melees with characters doing 1v1 or 2v2 or even 3v3. But you had 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1 if you understand what i am saying.

Basically i'll put it like this. Knuckles would fight shadow, get knocked into rouge who gets knocked into tails who then proceeds to fight shadow, who gets knocked back into knuckles which knocks him to rouge and then he'll start fighting rouge. Too many things going on at once made it hard to focus on one character. Dump this new style of fighting. Episode 2 was better, in my opinion.

It also kinda seemed that you spent most of your time with the fights and let the story weaken as this was basically 95% fighting and 5% story. There are enough sprite fighting movies on Newgrounds. Some that are a lot better, but there really aren't a lot of sprite movies with a strong story. Expand the story a bit more in you next episodes rather than trying to impress us with you action sequence.

Next, SOUND COMPRESSION. This flash has a very high file size for something so short. You need to seriously open this sucker up and change the settings on things, because damn.

Now, as for your twists, you categorized it wrong. it isnt a twist because...

*Spoilers*
1) You introduced metal Sonic in the same episode as you decided to link shadow and him as one. That could have been stretched out for A LOT of episodes and later come as a twist.

2) Shadow switching Sonic for metal Sonic isnt a twist. It was a trap. And an Obvious one at that. Also could have been stretched out for a few episodes.

However, one thing i am VERY impressed with is the fact you used an animated Background. Many people who make sonic flashes tend to use backgrounds that should be animated, as a regular non static. The fact you took the effort to use something animated shows skill for detail.

Also, vary your sound effects, because they got too repetitive. Use different sound effects for different actions.

This was was actually pretty funny and I prefer humor over senseless violence. This one showed the many different attempts to get the 1-up whereas the orther just seemed like an all out pursuit to destroy everything in his path, which by showing the original movie, was clearly not the case.

You kept the backgrounds, and the perception of distance very well. Most just tween everything at the same speed. Im glad you took the time and effort to polish it up. I loved the part when mario was in the hospital, and i liked how you changed the music to make it sound like it was coming through the speakers.

Also, the song is very catchy =)

I never seen a sprite movie by you, but if this was your first one, i must commend you for keeping Mario well, MARIO.

First off. I think your wrong. I think you have a stray stop action command in your credits, because it stopped for me, and all i did was right click, and play and it went through just fine.

Second, Why did it end like that? Sonic just talking and then cut to credits. That was very sloppily done, as i didn't even get to READ the entire subtitle.

Third, you over used that high pitched DBZ sound effect WAY too many times, to the point i was going to shut it off. I mean, really, if your going to go and use DBZ sounds, i KNOW there are more in the pack then just those couple of sound effects.

Fourth, all of your voices were low and scratchy. I had to turn it up to hear what they were saying, then got bombarded with a bunch of loud sound effects. Also you had knuckles V.A scream some of his lines which was also irritating. Keep the volumes of your sounds consistent.

However through all that unbearable complaints, i still made it through to the end. I'll admit, this is the first one of your series i've seen. The whole concept of fighting recolors i thought was hilarious. I personally hate it when people take sprites and just edit them slightly and apply some recolors to them and call it their own. Taking a move set from a char is one thing, but stealing the design and making it a different color is another. However, Mephalies has already been explained why hes in that form. Hes not just a recolor. I like the fact that you pointed out that it was just a Mega man BG. Yes it was from MMX1. I could recognize that lvl anywhere.

All in all, I have to say that you could probably do better. Stop using so much DBZ sound effects, as a majority of people over use them. Get some new ones. Check your movie out for any stray AS commans, and take the time to go over the voice quality, and the volume of your sound effects.

Never submit half projects. If you want a beta tester, go get one, but this is what the alphas are for.

Anyways, its ok. I can clearly see that the menu music is taking up all the filesize in the flash, so you need to do something about that.

I don't know why, but ive always hated that lvl in sonic advance. The background is too irritating. Oh Well its ok i guess.

But finish it.

I thought you might've died. But it seems you're still doing flash after all.

Everything ran smooth, and crisp, but ya know i cant help thinking that this looked alot like Chaos. No matter, its still good. The movement, the tweening and all that good stuff was on point.

The one thing that urked me was sonics voice. But if Yoshi-1up did ALL of the vocies then kudos. He does a good eggman.

That sonic boom joke at the end was so corny i had to laugh. XD

I tend to ignore stupid-ass reviews for my flash movies, but i had to watch your stuff and lol at your pitiful review.

Now let see. You claim you have so much experience with flash and sprites, yet you come out with this movie? No im sorry but i have taught people how to do flash and have produced more quality in 4 months then in your 3 years of experience.

Aside from that rant, this movie, was everything i WOULDN'T do now. Your sound quality, is horrendous. So many years with flash exp and sprite movies, you should know the standard of movies. The characters just stand there and take a beating. Crappy choice in music, barely audible sound effects, and horrible move execution. Also the movie was WAY to short for a file your size, which brings me to believe that your MENU took up all that room, (which wasn't even that great).

Despite all that im still giving you a 4 because i dont give 0 for stupid ass reasons, despite being told that im an "embarrassment to the the sprite community"

I look forward to reviewing your progress >=)
